Pool Safety Pool safety is a founding vision of AquaSafe and it is our number one priority. As a pool management company, we have a tremendous responsibility in keeping every resident safe at all of our facilities that we manage across the East Coast. Almost one quarter of a million people come to our pool facilities every year. With our regular in service training drills and on-going safety audits we make sure that all of our facilities are safe for the residents.
Lifeguard's Selection and Training
Pool Safety starts with the recruitment of employees and selection of only the best candidates. Every Lifeguard applicant is interviewed directly by a member of the AquaSafe management team and trained by an American Red Cross Instructor. AquaSafe’s lifeguards must complete the following classes: American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid, Pool Operation Class. All international lifeguards must pass a comprehensive written English Proficiency exam. All lifeguards must participate in a mandatory “People Management” training so they will be ready to assist in every situation. Regardless of certification validity, every lifeguard is certified or re-certified every year in CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
Weekly mandatory safety in-service training
Our weekly In-Service Training for lifeguards and area supervisors ensures that our personnel is always prepared to handle any and all emergency situations. During our in-service trainings we repeatedly go over all rescue techniques and practice various scenarios. In-service training is under the direct supervision of our safety directors who participate in all in-service training sessions.
Pool Facility Safety Audits and Inspections
The safety of each facility is randomly checked by our team of safety inspectors and area supervisors. AquaSafe safety inspectors ensure that our lifeguards are vigilant and in compliance with our strict safety standards and procedures. In addition to the safety inspectors and supervisors, our senior management personnel visit our swimming pool facilities randomly every week.
Safe working environment
It is the nature of our business to work with various chemicals such as liquid chlorine and muriatic acid. Our employees and their safety is one of our top priorities. We have designed and established an in depth safety training course for any and all employees that will be working with hazardous chemicals. We require all of our employees to follow the safety procedures.
Safe Driving through your community
Ensuring everyone’s safety doesn’t stop at the pool. Safety is our priority whether we are at your swimming facility or on the road. We created a safe driving program for all of our employees and implemented strict guidelines with GPS monitoring services.
Environmental protection and compliance
Our efforts of ensuring safety continue with footprint reduction through proper handling and disposing methods of all chemicals. AquaSafe is always committed to staying current with and we follow all local and federal regulations.
